The Regal Fritillary or Argynnis idalia is a striking nymphalid butterfly that was once abundant and widespread throughout North America. Now, its range is rapidly shrinking due to a variety of reasons. The primary goal of this site is to be an educational resource for the Regal Fritillary and species like it.
